3. Review Guidelines

  • All reviews must be objective, truthful, and accurate.

  • Reviews must be based on your personal experience with the attorney, associate, or legal assistant. Impersonation is prohibited, and you may only submit one review per attorney.

  • Reviews must not contain racist, pornographic, illegal, or offensive content.

  • Reviews must not include defamation, libel, or misrepresentation of others or businesses in an unprofessional manner.

  • Reviews must not disclose confidential information, trade secrets, or sensitive personal data about other parties.

  • Reviews should clearly explain why you assigned a particular rating to the attorney, providing specific examples and illustrative events from your interaction with them.

  • Attorneys and legal assistants are prohibited from reviewing themselves or their colleagues. Reviewing attorneys with whom the User has a close personal or professional relationship is also prohibited. Breach of this rule may result in the attorney or legal assistant losing their ability to verify client relationships, which may lead to reviews being published without their involvement or to their suspension or removal from TheLawyerGuide.

  • You are solely responsible for the content of your reviews. False or misleading reviews may result in legal penalties and liability for damages.

TheLawyerGuide reserves the right to delete reviews that violate these guidelines. By submitting a review, you consent to its publication on TheLawyerGuide and grant TheLawyerGuide, its partners, and affiliates an exclusive, royalty-free, and perpetual right to use the review for marketing and other purposes. If you believe a review about you violates these guidelines, please contact us at support@thelawyerguide.com. The Company takes such inquiries seriously and will address them according to the procedures outlined in Section 4 of this Agreement.

5. About TheLawyerGuide’s Services

TheLawyerGuide is free for regular visitors. When using our lead service or submitting a review, you become a member of TheLawyerGuide Community and may occasionally receive notifications about relevant legal services and products. Attorneys, associates, and registered legal assistants may purchase paid products such as upgraded profiles or subscription-based leads. Upgraded profiles typically have a 12-month binding subscription period, billed in advance with a standard 10-day payment term. After the binding period, subscriptions can be canceled with a mutual 3-month notice period. Discounts granted for subscriptions do not automatically apply to the next period unless explicitly agreed. Standard pricing applies otherwise. Lead subscriptions are ongoing agreements with a 1-month mutual notice period. Leads refer to potential client information shared via email. The attorney will be billed monthly in arrears based on the number of leads sent, regardless of whether the potential client becomes a paying client.

6. Jurisdiction

The courts of the United States will have jurisdiction over any disputes arising from or related to this agreement.
