Erling Løken Andersen is the founder of Advokatguiden.no, Norway's largest independent platform for information about lawyers and law firms. The platform was built with a clear vision: to make the legal market more transparent and accessible to the public. Through open profiles, client reviews, disciplinary records, and searchable areas of expertise, he wanted to make it easier for clients to find the right lawyer, while also raising quality and competition across the legal industry.

Erling is a jurist, trained at the University of Oslo in 2015. After finishing his law studies, he set up his own legal practice, Omega Legal AS, where he worked as a legal advisor until 2017. There he assisted private individuals and businesses across a range of legal areas and built broad experience in litigation and advisory work.
A well-functioning legal society needs more than skilled lawyers. It needs openness. Clients deserve to be able to make informed choices.

In 2017 he joined Berngaard Advokatfirma as a junior lawyer. Over the years he developed a specialization in areas including regulatory matters, IT law, marketing law, transactions and M&A, along with major dispute resolution projects. He also worked on several large class action cases and complex matters in finance, technology, and consumer law. In 2019 he was appointed senior lawyer.
Throughout his legal career, Erling has been particularly interested in where law and technology meet. He has advised both Norwegian and international companies on regulatory assessments, compliance, fintech, cryptocurrency, data privacy, digital services, and commercial agreements. He has worked closely with growing technology companies and has considerable experience with the legal questions that come up when new technology meets existing regulation.
Alongside his legal work, entrepreneurship has run through his entire career. He has started and built a number of technology companies in areas including legaltech, fintech, artificial intelligence, and digital marketplaces. Several of these companies achieved international growth, and over the years he has worked on founding, financing, acquiring, and scaling businesses internationally. Among them, the online community Biip.no was sold for over 100 million kroner to Egmont and TV2 in 2008.
The launch of Advokatguiden sparked significant public debate and received wide coverage in both legal trade media and national press. The platform represented a new take on transparency in the legal industry and fed discussions about clients' need for information, quality control, and the digitization of legal services. Since its start, Advokatguiden has grown into one of the most visited legal platforms in Norway, and the company has raised outside capital for further growth and development.
Through his work, Erling has always had a strong commitment to modernizing the legal industry. He believes technology should make legal services more accessible, more efficient, and easier to understand, without sacrificing quality or professional integrity. This perspective shapes both Advokatguiden and the other companies he has helped build.
Today Erling works mainly with technology, financial services, and international regulatory matters, while keeping a strong commitment to the development of the Norwegian legal industry through Advokatguiden. His background as both a practicing jurist and a serial founder gives him a distinct perspective on how legal expertise can be combined with innovation and business development to create better solutions for clients and society alike.
Technology changes the world faster than the law does. My job has always been to build a bridge between innovation and the law.
